Description

Once ordered, please send your trainers to our shop address, see below, with any specific requirements. 

Please include your order number, your name and a return address so we know who the shoes belong to. Also please remove insoles and laces for ease of handling. The stitching is done by an experienced, specialist cobbler. Please allow 5-6 working days plus shipping. During very busy periods it may take longer. If you need your shoes quicker, contact us before you order to ensure we can accommodate this.

  • This service is suitable to allow fitting of desert gaiters with velcro attachment into your trainers.
  • The gaiters should have Velcro stitched onto the bottom in order to be suitable for this service. 
  • Velcro will be stitched onto the bottom of your trainers' upper mesh, just above the sole. 
  • Velcro stitching could make the toe box of your shoes slightly more restricted and stiff - make sure your shoes are large enough to accommodate this. 
  • You do NOT need to include any velcro nor your gaiters when sending the shoes.
Specification

To wear Desert Gaiters once velcro is attached:

  1. Pull gaiter down over shoe and first affix rear of gaiter to rear of shoe, aligning back seam of gaiter to centre of heel.
  2. Stretch gaiter forward and affix front of gaiter to centre of shoe toe box.
  3. After front and rear of gaiter are in place, attach the sides firmly to the Velcro along each side of the shoe, ensuring an even spread of the fabric and checking the Velcro is closed.

Please note that Desert Gaiters are NOT included in this service and should be purchased separately. We do not need you to send us gaiters in order to stitch velcro to your shoes.
